Backup and Restore if upgrading to Windows 7
It's almost here - the all-new version of Windows.
We've tried it, we like it, but we're in no hurry to install it. Your view may differ, and that's OK, but we strongly suggest you backup essential data and files first.
It just so happens that we are now Authorised Resellers of Carbonite - one of the leading online backup services - and of course we'd be very happy to provide you a licence and a little support in making sure the process runs smoothly.
Sales talk aside, I've been using Carbonite for a few years now and it has saved me from a number of close scrapes after deleting files in error. It was also in anvaluable tool when I upgraded my PC, and when reinstalling the Windows OS. Carbonite runs in the background, making a securely-encrypted copy of your files and storing them on their own secure RAID-6 server network. Delete a file (or even an entire hard-drive) in error and a couple of clicks brings all the files back again. Sure, external drives, DVDs and a few CAT5 cables could acheive the same thing, but it's not as slick and efficient as Carbonite and doesn't come with any form of guarantee!
If you'd like to know more about Carbonite's excellent service, and how we can help you to get started using it, then contact us today. If you're unsure about using it then we can install a free trial for you, and can also help to set it up to ensure you get the greatest benefit from the sotware... all for no extra charge!
